“Photo Opportunities” is the project of the French-Swiss artist Corinne Vionnet, in which she visualizes known tourist destinations. Through online searches, she found thousands, captured images of tourist destinations and striking snapshots around the world. In hours of diligent work they put all the found images of a target on each other and created such a completely new, but recognizable, but strange view of the object that we have all seen many times. Miraculously opens up the viewer with a unique variety of views of a very dynamic-looking tourist destinations of our time.
When you consider how many thousands of photos are similar but that sometimes raises the question of whether we are not calibrated by new media, TV and magazines on a particular view of interest and therefore instinctively take the same pictures as a souvenir to take home.
